My name is Mike Matthews, and I’m a bestselling health and fitness author and the founder of Legion. I founded Legion to bring something new and unique to the supplement world, because let’s face it, the last thing we need is yet another line of flashy, hyped-up, bogus pills and powders. I hate the exaggeration, lies, and pseudoscience of the supplement industry just as much as you. Over the years, I’ve wasted thousands and thousands of dollars on worthless fat burners, testosterone boosters, muscle builders, and the rest of it. I know what it’s like to wander the aisles of GNC, wondering what’s good and what’s not, and if the sales rep is telling the truth or just wants his commission. I’ve bought stuff hawked by professional bodybuilders, only to find out later that it can’t deliver even 1/10th of what they promise. Too many products are full of low-quality ingredients, junk fillers, and unnecessary additives. There’s a distinct lack of credible scientific evidence to back up their formulations. The marketing claims used to sell them are just getting more and more outrageous.

The list of what’s wrong with this industry goes on and on.

Well, I think things should be done differently, and that’s why I created Legion. I believe that you, the consumer, are smarter than the supplement marketers give you credit for.

I think you know dubious advertising when you see it.

I think you question how effective a product can really be if it contains tiny dosages of dozens of ingredients. I think you’re skeptical of high-profile endorsements that are more likely about the paychecks than the products. I think you want to know exactly what you’re putting into your body and why, and that the ingredients are scientifically proven to be healthy, safe, and effective. And, last but not least, I think that you know that supplements don’t build great physiques. Proper diet and training does.

The truth is supplements are, at best, supplementary, not vital.

Unfortunately, though, most sports supplements on the market don’t even live up to the label. They’re under-researched, under-dosed, and underwhelming in every way, unlikely to help you reach your goals faster.

It doesn’t have to be like that, though.

There are safe, natural substances that have been scientifically proven to boost strength, muscle growth, endurance, fat loss, recovery, physical and mental health and well-being, and more. It is possible to make high-quality supplements that really work, and to sell them honestly and at a fair price.

Why, I wondered, wouldn’t anyone just do it right?

Was it too much to ask for a line of supplements that met a few simple criteria, like...

All ingredients backed by peer-reviewed scientific literature

Good value per serving

All dosages at clinically effective levels

Honest marketing

Well, I guess so, because nobody was doing it.

And so I decided to take matters into my own hands and do something about the status quo that I hated so much. Namely, I founded Legion to create healthy, high-quality sport supplements based on sound science, and to sell them honestly and at a fair price.

What a concept. ;-)

That’s why my supplements have no proprietary blends.

That’s why every ingredient is backed by published scientific research that demonstrates clear benefits, and why only clinically effective doses are used. That’s why they contain no artificial sweeteners, food dyes, or other unnecessary chemicals, fillers, or junk. And that’s why I focus so much on educating my customers on what it really takes to get their best body ever, not putting them on a false scent of exaggerated hopes and expectations.

So, the bottom line is this:

I’m not just looking to build a company. I’m looking to build a culture. I believe in respecting my customers, telling things like it is, and delivering what I promise. I believe that using honesty, integrity, and facts to build a business is better than cutting corners and spreading lies and misinformation. And that’s why I don’t just want to sell you pills and powders. I want to change the supplement industry for the better.

Will you join me?
