Furthermore, fat loss similarly increased by the high-calcium diet by 38% and the high-dairy diet by 64%. Fat loss from the trunk region was at 7.9% of total fat loss on a low calcium diet. Whereas, this was increased to 3.0% on high calcium and high dairy diets. This study reported that increasing dietary calcium significantly increased both fat and weight loss secondary to calorie restriction. It also increased the fat loss from the trunk region.
