Is the fat reduction permanent?

Yes. Humans are genetically programmed to have a pre-determined number of fat cells. Once you are an adult, you do not produce more fat cells. Once LIPODISSOLVE destroys a fat cell, and this cell is reabsorbed, this cell will never grow back.

How is LIPODISSOLVE different than KYBELLA?

Lipodissolve and Kybella work exactly the same way.

Lipodissolve is made of phosphatidyl choline + deoxycholic acid and Kybella is made of only deoxycholic acid. The addition of phosphatidyl choline makes this a compounded medication which can be produced by many pharmacies, whereas Kybella is a trademarked medicine and sold under a brand name. This is what accounts for the price difference.

How many treatments do I need?

Usually people will prefer 2-3 treatments under the chin or jowls for maximum effect.

Why can’t I just do one treatment, but use a higher dose?

We wish it worked that way! Unfortunately, each treatment will only coat a certain number of fat cells and some will be left over, which can be caught with follow on treatments.

Are there any side effects?

Yes. The most notable side effect is prominent swelling. You will have very noticeable swelling for 3-7 days under the chin which slowly goes away over about two weeks. We like to tell people that; Days 1-3: Everybody on the street will know you had something done. Days 4-10: Close friends and family will likely notice some of the swelling. Days 11-21: You will notice residual fullness. Days 22-45: Your under chin or jowls will appear as if NOTHING has happened. This is because healing is still taking effect and your body is still working to tighten up tissue in the area where the fat was dissolved. After this is when you will see results!
