Why are boiled eggs a healthy snack?

Hard boiled eggs are an excellent source of high-quality protein, with 2 large eggs providing 13 grams. If you want a satisfying snack to tide you over between meals, you’ll want to eat one that’s protein-rich. Why? Protein takes longer to digest than carbohydrates, which means that a snack with protein will help keep you feeling fuller for longer. Protein is also known to regulate blood sugar, helping to keep your energy levels steady. When you eat a meal or snack containing protein, you’re less likely to experience spikes and crashes in blood sugar compared to when you eat a snack that’s carbohydrate-heavy. While we’ve all been there, we’re sure you can agree that an energy crash is the last thing we want after eating a snack! As you can see, the high protein content of eggs helps to play a key role in keeping you full and energized between meals.
