I had always been obese, even as a kid. My weight didn't bother me much until people around me began body shaming me at school and college. After completing 12th grade, I began gaining even more weight since I was a foodie (which I still am). What made it worse was that I was a couch potato. I would just sit in one spot all day, binging on junk. Fried, sweet and spicy foods which were my favourite. There was no inclusion of physical activity in my daily routine and since I was extremely lazy to walk even short distances, I preferred taking a vehicle. So, after giving much thought on how to lose weight, I finally embarked on my weight-loss journey. I began two years ago, at the age of 19, as soon as I completed my third semester in college. At the time, I weighed around 107 kg with a waist size of 42 inches. Toward the end of my weight-loss journey, I had lost 30 kg, bringing my weight down to 77 kg and waist size to 35 inches. The first 20 kg was reduced in a matter of 3 months and I managed to lose the remaining 10 kg in another 2 months.
