Fact – they are safe

Our two fat dissolving injectable treatments at Artisan contain natural substances. Our chin sculpting injections contain a synthesised deoxycholic acid. This occurs naturally in the body and aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. Meanwhile, our general fat dissolving injections contain a substance called phosphatidylcholine (PC). Again, this is a natural compound derived from soybean. Both are safe to use and are naturally broken down by the body over time.

Fact – side effects are rare

Side effects of both injectable treatments are rare. You may experience swelling, bruising, itching, pain, sensitivity to pressure and excessive warmth at the injection site however, this is usually resolved within three to five days. Minimise risk by enlisting the help of a highly qualified doctor or nurse. At Artisan, all of our cosmetic injectable treatments are administered by our team of highly skilled doctors and nurses. They are masters of their craft with years of industry experience.

Fact – pain is minimal

As with all treatments that involve needles, the injections may sting for a few seconds, but generally, pain is minimal. We also always offer the option of applying a topical numbing agent to the treatment area to minimise discomfort.

Fact – there is downtime

The biggest thing to note with these forms of injectable treatments is they do require a bit of downtime with both treatments recommending taking it easy for three to five days. Want to know more?
