Read More »Wegovy® (semaglutide) is a once-weekly injectable GLP-1 drug that was approved by the FDA to treat overweight and obesity in 2021. Since its approval, there has been a surge in demand for the medication—in part thanks to clinical trial data that proved its efficacy: A recent randomized clinical trial found that patients who received the drug over a 68-week period lost 15.8% of their body weight on average.
