For example, folate and biotin are commonly known as B complex vitamins. While a balanced diet can meet the daily requirements of the majority of B complex vitamins, some of these vitamins are present in very minimal amounts in food. Vitamin B12 is one such vitamin. Deficiency of B complex vitamins can result in symptoms such as numbness and tingling sensation in hands and feet, muscle weakness.
